Penny’s Hill ESTATE
Penny's hill wine collection
Penny’s Hill Estate is an estate-grown McLaren Vale producer centred on the historic Ingleburne Homestead (circa 1855), a site with just four property owners since settlement — reflecting rare continuity of place and stewardship.
Founded in 1988 by Tony Parkinson on the foothills east of McLaren Vale, Penny’s Hill was established with a focus on Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. The acquisition of the Ingleburne Homestead in 1996 marked a defining evolution, cementing the estate as both a wine destination and a benchmark for premium, site-expressive McLaren Vale single-vineyard wines.
In 2022, Penny’s Hill entered a new chapter, elevating its portfolio through an expanded single-vineyard collection drawn from the Randall Wine Group’s luxury vineyard holdings across McLaren Vale. These include the historic Yeenunga Vineyard, select parcels in Blewitt Springs, and elevated sites along the Onkaparinga Gorge. Together, these vineyards enable greater precision, selectivity and limited-release wines that place provenance and site expression at the centre.
Sustainability has underpinned the vineyards since inception, with Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certification achieved in 2023.
