At Epicurean Wines, we are dedicated to finding the best of the best and bringing them to you.
Headquartered in Seattle, Epicurean Wines was established in 2000 with the importation of several boutique wines from Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale. Since then, Epicurean has garnered a reputation for being a premier importer of Australian Wine. With a distribution network that spans over 46 states, Epicurean strives to be the most forward-thinking Australian importer in the United States. In 2016, Epicurean Wines started focusing on innovative winemakers and partnered with Unico Zelo, a winery in South Australia that makes wines using only Italian varietals. In 2017, Epicurean Wines imported their first spirit in the portfolio, Applewood Gin. 2018 saw the addition of a Tasmanian Whisky. Today Epicurean Wines represents 23 Australian producers.
These wines are made using a collective philosophy that wines exhibiting extreme strength and power, can also showcase incredible balance and depth. Epicurean Wines meticulously seeks rare examples of Australian finesse, and in doing so, created a varied and unique Epicurean Wines portfolio that summarizes the best expression of Australian winemaking. In recent years, a "New" Australia has emerged with bottlings of varietals atypical to Australia and an emphasis on regenerative and sustainable farming practices. The Epicurean Wines portfolio brings a clear expression of Australian wines with every carefully selected winery.
Since its inception, The Chook Shiraz Viognier has scored an uninterrupted run of 90+ points by internationally recognized reviewers. They also produce a popular Sparkling Shiraz. Careful vineyard selection, teamed with exceptional winemaking by Alexia Roberts and an emphasis on consistent varietal expression, produces approachable wines with distinct character. Chook? It’s Australian for chicken!
Since 2000, Epicurean Wines has been dedicated to unearthing Australia’s best wines. Our import portfolio continues to bring well-deserved attention to exceptional family-owned wineries in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, Langhorne Creek, and McLaren Vale, as well as outstanding producers in Western Australia’s Margaret River and New South Wales’ Hunter Valley.
