Glaetzer-Dixon Mon Pere

Glaetzer-Dixon Mon Pere

Tasmania,

Mon Père pays homage to Nick Glaetzer’s father, Baron of Barossa, Colin Glaetzer.  The Glaetzer family emigrated in 1888 to the Barossa Valley from Brandenburg, Germany. 125 years later, Nick has taken four generations of Barossa shiraz winemaking knowledge and applied it to carefully selected parcels of shiraz grapes from the Coal Valley in Southern Tasmania. Mon Père Shiraz is a pre-eminent cool-climate shiraz, with flavours and textures evocative of Northern Rhône valley wines, particularly from the Hermitage, Saint Joseph and Côte-Rôtie appellations.
